What got you into this field? what made you LOVE it?
“My mum, she was a Graphic design teacher at TAFE, so I grew up spending every waking moment in my bedroom being creative. She used to show me her students projects when she graded them, and we had so much craft materials at home she'd collected along her career. Sewing, crafting, drawing, making movies on my computer, making music on garage band. At the TAFE she worked at when they bought new computers for the classrooms to update them, they would offer the old ones to the teachers for $50. So for christmas one year, I asked for a surfboard and I got a purple imac... haha mum knew best and that's definitely exactly what I needed in life. I didn't even have a desk it was on my bedroom floor, it was truly the gateway moment I was maybe 12. And then I would say the other pivotal moment was when I was about 16 and Insight51 was cool. The Australian surf brand. I picked up a zine at the surf shop and I still have it to this day. What made me LOVE it was finding my own community. Being around like minded people and also sharing my work and having people interact with it made me actually fall in love with it forever.”

Do you have anything coming up OR do you have any dream project or aspirations?
“Yes, lots of personal projects I've been sitting on for far too long. I'm insanely good at getting in my own way and also going in a million directions all at once. I'm about to unleash the unreleased projects I've been sitting on like a clown. As for dream projects, its usually just actualising projects I have in my mind. That's the greatest feeling. Whatever comes across my freelance desk that excites me and screams Flossy is always such a bonus and a true joy. And also dream projects always involve working with people that let me push the envelope of my style in a new exciting way, whilst also being a safe creative space for shared growth :)”
